Scenic 51 plate rear light issue 1.9 di - Renault Forums ...

HI all, ok ive got hold of a haynes for a wiring diagram and i know there are many topics on here about light issues on the rear (indicator effect sidelights etc).

Sympton, side lights on, tur the indicator on then the sidelight pulses, yes i agree..... earth problem.

Both lights removed and the multiplug unpluged, using my a test lamp, touching each of the 5 terminals in the multiplug, they all show as being earthed.
Then 1 by 1, work out which wire controls what, so in order working with the nsr multiplug, indicator supply, brake light supply, sidelight supply, reverse light supply and no change on last pin so i assume then this is the EARTH terminal (black with a purple trace).
With no live supplies and the multiplug unplugged, all 5 terminals are showing as EARTH, there are no fuses blowing, i have removed the towbar wiring, i tried a quick new earth wire but appeared not to do anything, tomorrow going to see if i can source some bulb holders to illiminate them, does any one know if the multiplug should be earth on all 5 terminals ??

My test light, i use, plugs direct to live an earth, it shows green for a earth circuit an lights red if the circuit is now live.

I have actually cleaned up the black earth eyelet terminal just inside the nsr light lens opening and this made no difference so if any one knows which way the wiring loom runs, ie feeds to nsr then branches off across the roof etc to feed the osr, then your views will be greatly appreiated.
