Dec. 3

David Simpson, 40, of 29 Laudholm Farm Road, Wells was charged with attaching false plates while driving his 1997 Tan Chevy Malibu on Mile Road in Wells. The registration plates attached to the vehicle were listed to a 1990 Black Chevy Lumina. He was given a Feb. 23, 2012 court date in York District Court.

Dec. 6

Brandon S. Williams, 21, of 90 Canterbury Road, Wells was arrested at the Wells Police Department on a Wells warrant of arrest charging aggravated leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident. He was released on $500 cash bail and has a Jan. 12, 2012 court date in Alfred Superior Court.

Dec. 7

Adam H. Brooks, 38, of 14 Frost Lane, Orono was charged with theft by unauthorized taking (shoplifting) after an investigation into a complaint alleged by the Wells Food Mart that Brooks had stolen $34 worth of steak and then returned the meat requesting cash. Brooks fled the scene and was detained by Kennebunk Police until Wells officers arrived. He was given a Feb. 23, 2012 court date in York District Court.

Dec. 10

Mathew P. Hubbard, 21, of 8 Deerwood Road, Wells was arrested on Deerwood Road and charged with operating under the influence. He was released on bail and given a Feb. 23, 2012 court date in York District Court.

Ethan E. Hussey, 23, of PO Box 404, Alfred, was charged with false identification of registration plates and receiving stolen property after a traffic stop on Sanford Road near Spencer Drive. An officer noticed the front license plate displayed a registration sticker expiring August 2011 and the rear license plate displayed a registration sticker expiring in 2012. The 2012 sticker is alleged to have been stolen from another vehicle and illegally attached to the rear plate. He was given a Feb. 23, 2012 court date in York District Court.

Dec. 11

Timothy A. Nason, 38, of 8 Summer St., Kennebunk, was charged with failure to register vehicle (greater than 150 days) after a traffic stop on Sanford Road. He was given
a Feb. 23, 2012 court date in York District Court.

Layton S. Powell, 24, of 6 Oceanspray Ave., Biddeford, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence after a traffic stop on North Berwick Road. He was released on $1,000 cash bail and was given a Feb. 23, 2012 court date in York District Court.

Dec. 12

Kevin Petit, 29, of 191 New Road, Arundel, was arrested for operating under the influence and violation of conditions of release on Route 1 near the Ogunquit town line. He was unable to post bail and was transported to the York County Jail and will have a court date in York County Superior Court.

Dec. 15

Bryan Langlais, 41, of 32 Upper Landing Road, Wells, was arrested at the Circle K/Irving on Route 1 for operating while license suspended or revoked and a warrant charging failure to appear out of the Saco Police Department for the same charge. He was able to post bail and has a York District Court date of Feb. 23, 2012.
