by driveperth Email

(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Sunday morning February 12, 2012 shortly before 2 a.m. a Perth County OPP officer in Listowel observed a vehicle with a snow covered licence plate driving on Victoria Ave North.  The officer pulled over the vehicle and spoke to the driver.  At this point the odour of an alcoholic beverage was detected on the driver’s breath.  The driver failed a roadside breath test and two subsequent Intoxilyzer breath tests at the North Perth OPP detachment in Listowel.

As a result, the 41 year old male from the Municipality of North Perth has been charged with “operation of a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood”.  He is scheduled to appear in Listowel Court on March 21, 2012 to answer to this charge.  He was issued a 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
