Welcome to the forum... I just had mine apart as well, are you saying you can't get the outer panel removed to see the actual pads and out of the drum?

With both cables off you should be able to move the rear brake arm, pull it towards the back of the ATV, the pads should release (or go back to their rest state) and like ss said, spray PB Blaster or WD-40 around the seam and you should be able to use a pry bar or screw driver to work the plate assembly out of the drum. There is 2 slots on the differential/plate mating surface that you can use to spread the parts. Be careful not to apply to much pressure and mess up the aluminum. Mine were locked up bad, and the axle seal/bearing and the felt dust seal and inner seal on the brake cam were all shot, water and mud had gotten in there and locked it up.
